Read the note
On Day 1 you'll find a handwritten note explaining the rules. Close it with the X in the corner when you're ready.
Keep it in the light
The Trickster can't move while it's in your flashlight beam and in your line of sight. When you look away, it moves, and it's fast. Back away while facing it.
Listen
You'll hear it crawling in the ducts before you see it. Headphones help you tell which way the sound is coming from. When the red eye appears at the top of the screen, it has seen you.
Find the code
Four numbers are painted in red on the end wall of one dead end. They change every run. Memorise them.
Use your three bullets wisely
Shooting the Trickster won't kill it. It will rush at you, then disappear for a while. Crates in some dead ends hold six more rounds each.
Find the way out
One vent opening glows green. Through it there's a hallway and a keypad. Enter the code. What happens after that, you'll have to see for yourself.
Three days
If it catches you, you wake up on the next day in a new maze. It's more dangerous every day. Get caught on Day 3 and it's over.
- Walk backwards out of dead ends. Turning your back is how most runs end.
- Corners are dangerous. Sweep the light across a junction before you crawl into it.
- Sprinting drains your stamina fast. Save it for when you need it.
- If you can't see well, raise Brightness in Settings.
- If looking around feels too slow or too fast, change Sensitivity in Settings.
